White Willow Bark

White Willow Bark is the predecessor of aspirin.

500MG 60 Vegetarian Caps

The conversion of white willow bark to aspirin began in 1828 when a German chemist isolated the active ingredient and named it salicin. In 1899, the Bayer Company began manufacturing and selling a modified form of white willow bark chemical acetylsalicylic acid, called aspirin. This first of the modern miracle medicines has been a mainstay in the treatment of pain ever since.

Unlike aspirin, the salicylates in white willow bark do not increase the risk of bleeding. They do not irritate the lining of the stomach.
